Parking & Transportation

The University’s Commuter Services is dedicated to providing proper ADA accommodation services for students, faculty, staff, and visitors commuting to campus.

Visit Commuter Services' ADA Accommodations page for more information.

ADA Parking Permits for Students

Students parked in designated ADA stalls within a regulated lot are required to purchase a University permit and display a state-issued ADA license plate or placard.

ADA Parking Permits for Staff and Faculty

Campus affiliates parked in designated ADA stalls within a regulated lot or garage are required to purchase a University permit for that lot or garage, and display a state-issued ADA license plate or placard. Most garages require you to be added to a waitlist. Please contact Commuter Services if you have any questions.

Visitor Parking

Visitors displaying a state-issued ADA license plate or placard may park in visitor kiosk lots or Pay By Phone stalls at no charge for up to 2 hours. Parking for longer than two hours in these areas requires payment at the regular posted rate.

Campus Shuttle

All Campus Shuttle routes are ADA compliant. Campus Shuttle passengers who need an individual on-demand ADA ride may request this service by calling:

  • 24-Hours Prior for Individual Requests: Call (801) 581-4189
  • After 6 PM: (801) 581-4189

Saferide

Students, faculty and staff members who don’t feel comfortable walking on campus at night may request a free ride to most locations at the U. SafeRide functions similarly to other rideshare programs like Uber or Lyft, but only operates within university boundaries on weeknights from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
